Expect to pay at least $50 per night at Yogi Bear's to be wedged
between two camper vans. But at least you have the option of renting a
golf cart to explore the campground. I spent one weekend here a couple
of years ago and have a photo of our minute campsite to remind myself
of what an appalling rip off it was.
Lately I have stayed at Tuthilltown, although I have not been there yet
this year. It's rustic, quiet and Raplh is an amiable host but it is a
little inconvenient for eating in New Paltz. Also beware that there is
a lot of poison ivy in the grass beneath the trees. The sites in the
field have been better in this regard.
