Even those of us that lean more to the conservative camp don't take him seriously.
I find this statement interesting. I've heard similar statements from other Conservatives, but when I question them about their reasons they inevitably come up blank with a reason as to why.

As a Conservative, why don't you take Rush seriously? What position(s) has he taken that you feel aren't Conservative?

Because he's not a policy maker. He's a private citizen with a big mouth. I may believe in some of the things he says but not the way he says them.

Actually, I am talking out of school because other than recently, I never heard him say more than a sentence or two in a sound bite. I don't listen to him. I picture him as being a conservative mirror of an elitist liberal like Olbermann. You know, the guy that is anti-business, anti-capitalism, complains about fat cat salaries, yet renewed his contract with MSNBC (owned by GE) for a reported $7.5 million a year.

Eisboch
He affects policies and platforms assumed by the Republican party.

He's a drving force behind, and part and parcel of the party's soul
because there's a total vaccuum where leadership is concerned.

Michael Steele? Hand puppet.

Did you see how he bowed and scaped when Rush engaged him?

Bloody embarassing for your party.

I love the letter...sent one off. Supposed to get a copy...will post it here.

My apology to Rush:

Dear Rush,

I’m so sorry that I called you an idiot. My comments were stupid. What I meant to say is that you are worthy of enormous respect. Yeah, sometimes I speak generically – seriously I wasn’t even talking about you. Everyone knows we Republicans like to say one thing and do another, right?

You and I both know that in reality, you simply want President Obama to fail in this time of economic collapse. How can I disagree with that? Please accept my sincere apologies, oh great leader of the Republican Party. Can’t wait to be on your show soon! XOXO

Sincerely,

Republican Congressman Eric Cantor (coming soon)

P.S. Orson Welles looked striking dressed in all-black. You look like a stuffed wild hog.
