I have about 100 old leather bound classic records from the early
days. Mostly classical choir or orchestra music. Most of the disks are
either unplayed, or nearly mint, the leather bindings are weathered
from storage. My quesiton is: Is it worth anything to re-record any of
this and how might I go about it. I am not really interested in this
type of music, but I know a lot of folks are... Maybe even my dad...

Thanks in advance to you or anyone else who wants to chime in here...

Why not just buy a turntable, amp and speakers............that way he can
play them at his convenience and hear them the way he heard them years ago?

LOL, dad putting on an LP!!!    You should have seen him trying to
hand feed chickens, he has parkinsons and the chickens could not catch
the food, snicker.   Me and dad joke about it, he is ok with that, but
he could never get an album out of the case much less get it on a
turntable.

Crappy disease. Sorry to hear about it.

But, I sure like the attitude you guys are showing!

Thanks, we try not to sweat those things we can not change. Makes life
a little easier, a little happier, and a little less scarey;)

Seems like I've heard something like that before....something to do with
serenity!
