prior to delivery.


I dont' believe in the "messaging"

I hope there are lots of tough questions.

I do to. With exception of a very few, I haven't seen many Generals
who couldn't handle themselves tough questions or not.



To add ... the General made it emphatically clear that the "testimony" he
delivered today was *not* screened, submitted for approval or otherwise
reviewed by anybody other than his own staff. That includes the Pentagon
or White House.

The formal report required to be submitted by the POTUS later this month
will include data submitted by Petraeus.

For anyone to claim otherwise would therefore imply that the General
outright lied today to Congress. Doubtful.
