I mean, I'd not feed a child a fruit rollup that would be harmful just
because I didn't know what the problem was - that's the flaw in the
argument.

Getting back to what we are discussing, the whole point is that this
particular scientist, and other respected scientists who study such
things, are not in total agreement. And there is a growing opposition
to man being the whole, single component to the production of green
house gases.

It is entirely possible that because of the cyclic nature of the solar
energy output, the increased odd weather activity and other
atmospheric pollution effects may be the result of solar energy which
also may be just as egregious in producing harmful lower atmospheric
gases as anything that man does. In fact, global warming, if it truly
exists long term and is not just a statistical short term anomaly may
just be the result of increased solar energy output.

Which is something that neither you or I or Al Gore can do anything
about. In short, we just may be pissing away zillions of dollars for
no reason at all other than money and political capital can be made by
those who scream the loudest.

What is the most interesting in this argument is that real atmospheric
scientists are beginning to say- hey, wait a minute - it's not quite
as bad as it would seem and there may be other reasons. And despite
Chuck's assertion that they are all in the BIG OIL bag, a lot of these
are independent academics.

I just read the other day that there is new documentary coming out
that is detailing some of the flawed science in "Inconvenient Truth"
and that the scientists in this movie have got the chops to dispute
it.

By the way have you seen "Unconfident Truth"?
