Unfortunatly Harry, I think you've hit the nail on the head.
To me ..it's all or nothing. If we can have long posts on baking
brownies here (and I'm not complaining about that), then I feel that I
can post something that's important to me once in a while...even if it's
non-boating.

If a nail has been hit on the head it was wacked by your own guilty
conscience.

Go back and read my response to your OT post. Notice:

1) I empathized with your distress
2) I offered a positive suggestion about a group you might want to join
that could change the foreign policy of your country.
3) I observed that posting your complaint to a boating NG was a waste
of time.

I don't see where I posted, "What the hell are you doing, Don, putting
political BS in the NG?! Don't do this! Stop this!" etc. Harry's
hypersensitivity to any suggestion that we try to observe the common
courtesy of remaining on topic in a dedicated forum evoked a "whoop
whoop", and sucked you right in.

Because you know your post to a boating NG will do nothing to change
the foreign policy of Canada (and because you know it was ill-advised)
your own emotional reaction
created posts about "sticking to your own coast", etc.

I'm sure your distress in genuine, as was my suggestion that you look
into the Canadian peace activists group.

Sorry about your troops. Really.
You and Harry can carry on if you like, but I've wasted enough time on
this.
