What file format comes right out of your camera, Tom? RAW?
I always shoot in RAW unless it's a sports/motion thing in which case
I shoot 640X480 1/2.7 compression.
Smaller files, faster shooting?
When you are in a car or running or on the boat, you have all the
other noises interfering anyway, so MP3s are very well suited for that
environment.
On that we can agree. :>)
It really depends on the degree of compression. I use Easy CD-DA
Extractor,
and it offers a long list of compression levels. At any level below
256kbits, the effect is noticeable no matter where I'm listening to it.
Below 112kbits, it's completely useless.
Where is DSK? I'm sure he'd want to call you an audio snob. :>)
He'll be along directly, I'm sure. :)
He's out buying some high-end speakers and electronics to hook up to his
Ipod.
