If this is true, then you've shown the shallowness of your personality
by
broadcasting this over the Internet. If it isn't true, then the same
applies.
Sorry, but you have just demonstrated a lack of understanding common among
many people today. Usenet is NOT Internet. Therefore, I did not
"broadcast"
anything over the Internet. I "posted" it on a Usenet discussion group.
There is NOTHING shallow about posting relevant material to a Usenet
newsgroup.
Hubie-boy, I keep telling you and telling you. Keep your mouth shut
and people won't know that you are stupid. (sigh) But you just won't
listen.
So, one more time: The Internet is a world wide network of computers
over which information, data, can be transmitted.
Usenet is a group of computers linked together, either over a local
network or over the Internet. Thus when you transmit your usual drivel
over Usenet to any site not directly connected to your LAN you are in
fact transmitting over the Internet.
Your other comment that "Heard it through the grapevine that Skippy
had a nervous breakdown." is utter rubbish. Whether Skip had or didn't
have a breakdown is irreverent. The point is that you did not hear it
on the grapevine since you aren't connected to any grapevine. Nobody
who is intelligent enough to carry on a conversation is dumb enough to
talk to you.

Do you Google? Do you Wiki? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet
You will see how wrong you are. Usenet predates Internet. Usenet would work
without Internet as Internet is a term inclusive of Usenet. When one posts a
message on a Usenet discussion group it doesn't go all over the Internet as
Geoff claimed.
Look at it this way. NASA came after NACA. One often uses NACA foils when
designing keels and airplane wings. One would be incorrect to say NACA
foils, when used, are all over NASA. If you are too much of a dimwit to
understand how things that predate other things do not suddenly encompass
them all, then you are just another dolt in good company in this pathetic
discussion group.
