Don't bother posting that I should be using a different system. I
already know that but I've already bought into this system because it
works so well with the GPSmap 76Cx that fits so will on my steering
pedestal. It's worse than taxes though.

Have seen every Bluecharts update from version 4 thru to version 9.

The later charts look cluttered, mainly due to land contours and a
proliferation of marine POI's, I prefer the look of V 6.5 to the later
ones. which, on a laptop, I tend to run with Mapsource detail set to "high"
rather than "highest". Zooming does sometimes get rid of the clutter on the
76C or 60C, but I certainly would not spend $75 just to get the "latest"
version, as your present version should be more than adequate for a year or
two.

Garmins uopdate strategy is designed for those guy who think that rocks do
move around, of which there are quite a few!
