It's hard to see in the "finished" picture, but there is a 2" triangle
bar across where the plastic stops, and two more that go along the top
of both sides, almost the entire length.

For example, your status bar will of course occupy a portion of the Form at the bottom, and so you therefore cannot set your Picture Box to "full Form size", otherwise it will either overwrite the status bar, or part of the Picture Box will disappear behind it, depending on the various zorder settings you are using and also on your exact method of drawing the status bar. ... this may have no effect if you are drawing your satatus bar manually and in any case it will result in part of the picture box being "behind the status bar". ...
