I referred only to newsgroup access. :-) I will have hi-speed internet access, but I will be using someone else's connection for a couple months, and my mail (web-based) will therefore not come through Outlook Distress during that period. I've read that Google news (or whatever it's called) is pretty tedious. Unless I can find someone who knows how to help me set this up, such will be the case in this interim.

There are plenty of areas in rural northern New England that are still unserved by any form of hi-speed internet. Vemont has pledged to get everyone access by 2010. At which end of 2010 this project will be completed, I forget.


I found that if you are willing to setup a profile on Google it is not to clunky to use, for sure though, it is not as nice as using an email client.
