Just curious. If bats eat fruity things, would they eat such things as fruitcake? I have several, a couple that have aged years from previous holidays by being doorstops. I am curious about them now, and will have to put it on my list of things to read. And do.

Steve, may I recommend this book for reading up on Bats? It's called America's Neighborhood Bats and it's by Merlin Tuttle. It can tell you which bats are in your area as well as lots of other good stuff.
