Re: OT: Does anyone else use Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird?

picked up all my bookmark and newsgroup settings. I must admit that
I still use Netscape 7.2 for email and newsgroups, but I use
Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft IE for web searches.
Comments anyone?

Mozilla is no longer supported either. I use Seamonkey, the follow on to Mozilla. It has everything i.e., E-mail and web browser, and have had no problems with it. Essentially it is a combo of Firefox and Thunderbird.

Actually the other way round as far as the development path went.
Firefox and Thunderbird was a response to Mozilla being too large to be manageable. Seamonkey is for those of us wanting it all in one package.

Handles just like the old Netscape. I never used MS and don't know anything about it. Seamonkey works for me!

And I believe that the Mozilla browser engine was initially incorporated in IE also. I use Firefox & Thunderbird because I find the bundled packages just a bit longer to open because of the added programs. But, never having tried SeaMonkey, I really can't say, but my guess is that overall you have more program and functions with the two separate programs as opposed to the bundled group.

I only use IE when something calls for ActiveX to update programs or communicate with certain services that still bow to the MS altar ;-)
