A have to assume it was a mockingbird. Maybe the same one who woke my
neighbor at 3 AM by imitating his alarm clock.
My mother had an African Gray that did that sort of thing, sorta kinda.
(his routine of my mother on the telephone was a classic. I wish I had
recorded it.) RIP, Boyd.

we have a mockingbird that imitates the sound of a car alarm --- quite
disturbing at 3am.
