Cheryl,

Rest assured that progressive lenses are even worse.

As I raise the binoculars to my eyes, I use them to push my glasses up
to my forehead. The glasses fall back to my nose when I'm done. It's
quick, and by now i don't even think about it.

How do you use binocular with glasses anyway?

Whenever I use binoculars and glasses, I see this real tiny image
circle in the eyepiece. I have to take my glasses off and put the
binocs right up against my eye to see any kind of image size.

Ditto here. I have seen binoculars that have rubber rings on them that say
for use with glasses. But in order to see anything, I need to totally
remove my glasses, and then put the binoculars up to my eyes.

What kind are they? How much eye relief? My Canon 10x30 IS has only
14.5mm, but even that is (just barely) adequate. Are you sure those
rubber rings aren't supposed to be folded back for use with glasses?

Jerry
I have the Canon 10X42 IS, probably the same eye cups as yours. I
think Canon couldn't have designed anything less comfortable if they
tried. The manual says 16mm of eye relief, but I dont know what that
means. The eyecups are screwed all the way down, i.e., the lens are
the closest to the eyes as they can get. I dont understand why anyone
would do otherwise. So if I keep my glasses on, the eyecups are now
further from my eyes, and the image is a smaller diameter. I guess
thats normal but I sure dont like it and dont understand how anyone
can wear glasses and uses binocs at the same time.

BTW, I really like the IS on these things. Its amazing how all the
shakiness disappears.
