Black vultures have been roosting on my boss' roof for a couple of

Does anyone have any thoughts on how to make her roof less appealing
to the birds?

But seriously, there are wire meshes that can be used to discourage
birds, but they aren't pretty. My mom is having a problem with a
heron that keeps perching on and soiling her roof. I don't know what
can be done about it except to keep scaring it away. She has bald
eagles in her neighborhood, but the heron doesn't seem to be fazed by
them.
