I don't see it as black-and-white, either the "damned birds" _or_
someone's life. It is easily within our ability to cohabit the planet

I was referring to the stupid and dangerous habit of drivers stopping
to watch birds in the middle of traffic. People who do that are worse
than the ones who yap on cell phones while driving.
