robin

We have a robin in our yard that has a very annoying call. It sounds
like a child's pea whistle...and it calls over and over. This spring
is when it all began. The bird is especially noisy early morning and
all evening, but is heard throughout the day. It looks like any other
robin. Can anybody explain this strange phenomenon?
