Honey is being spunky today (her nickname has been Spunky Brewster, andJan, words just cannot express my feelings about Honey and the care you
she's been living up to that, at least a LITTLE today, and I'll take
whatever I can get, at this point in her life), and she has wanted to
go outside FOUR times today (and at this point in her life, I NEVER
turn down one of her requests, if I can HELP it)... Our back yard is
walled, and I'm always there to ensure she isn't eaten by the local
coyote population, AND to be sure she doesn't decide to eat any of the
local bird population, either...
and Deb are providing. I have so much respect for you with the love and
care you are providing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Honey
as you make this transition.

Yesterday, Honey entered the final stages of kidney failure. Yet *Spunky
Brewster* STILL wanted to go outside to bask in the Arizona sun...
Problem is, she no longer had enough strength to walk... We could see
where she was trying to go (by then I had called my wife home from work),
so we carried her outside, and let her bask in the afternoon sun to her
heart's content for the rest of the afternoon, while we made arrangements
with her doctor, and we took her there at 5...
She was cavorting with the angels (and seven of our earlier *kids*) at
5:30...
So, we're trying to let things gently settle back to normal, but it sure
still gets misty every now and then... And the other cats don't quite
understand what's going on, even though she's the third to *disappear*
from the family in the last 6 months... One of them is her sister
Mattie, who's next to me right now...
So, it may be kinda' quiet, participation-wise, from here, for a little
while, as it has been recently... I have a lot of stuff to catch back up
on around here that simply didn't get done while caring for Honey...
Made a little progress today, but it'll take a little time...
Thanks so much for your, and everyone else here's, support...
I'll try to be better about staying ON topic now...
My thoughts are with you Jan.
Pat
Thanks, Pat, and everyone else who has expressed concern...
This concern has touched us both, and we GREATLY appreciate it!!!
Mere words can't really express our feelings, so I hope THANKS will suffice,
in lieu of something more eloquent...
And I'm sure Honey would like to thank you all, too, if she could...
