OT - top posting

I know a lot of the folks who have been here a while dislike top posting.
Just wanted to say that the reason I prefer top post and not bottom post has
nothing to do with disdain for your preference, or making you work hard to
remember the topic but this...
(and it's ok if I admit a little laziness for the following reason)
I don't get to read the newsgroup any more than once a week, sometimes
further apart. So, I am often reading a whole thread of messages on the
same topic and it really does get old having to scroll/page down on nearly
every single message just to get to the new information that the poster has
to add to the discussion. It can even be physically painful if you have
carpal tunnel to do this repetitive stress motion.
I may not be as sharp as I used to, but I can remember the subject when
reading 3-4 messages a minute over several minutes.
I always snip (if needed) and preserve the relevant part of a posting I am
replying to, so if someone doesn't catch where it comes from, it is readily
available as reference if needed.
So please forgive me for being in a hurry and wanting to read as many
messages as possible. I love this newsgroup. As Val said recently, she
learned a lot in a short time as I have.
Cheers, SpringPam in the slowly warming TX Hill Country.
