They are pretty cheeky for their size and it is a bit
unnerving having them swoop by so close. Anytime something
we humans think is unnatural behavior for wildlife most of
us become a bit concerned ;-)
If you are getting too close to their nest for their
comfort, I would just get the needed work done quickly and
move on. Nesting -> fledging -> be gone is normally only a
month or so. One could probably stay just outside the birds
"I feel threatened zone" for that small amount of time too.
Personally I think you will learn to enjoy the cheeky little
buggers with your new perspective that they are most likely
eating things you really dislike.
