I love birds, and I love cats. My two cats really are my "furbabies" -- but
they are indoor-only. They are safer, and so are the birds. Unfortunately,
I also have a supply of neighbor cats spend a considerable amount of time in
my backyard. My feeders are high enough so the cats can't reach them, but I
do worry for birds feeding on the ground.

Mary this particular cat I have seen hunting birds and squirrels up to
25-30 in the trees. the two latest victims were feeding on the
mulberries that are up high in the tree and Still the cat got to them.

Our cats are strictly indoors as well, wish I could say the same for
the neighbors..
