Dave the VERY pissed off.

A few days ago, I posted some pictures of my sister's chickens.

Henrietta, in particular, had quite a personality and was well able to
take care of herself: http://gbe.dynip.com/chickens/Q0012620A_JPG.htm

When my sister first got her, her cat thought that he had gone to
heaven and was going to have a chicken dinner! Well, Henrietta
changed his mind! I guess she chased him all around and pecked at him
pretty good. He learned his lesson. From then on, he steered a wide
path around her.

Talk about being hen pecked! :-)

There are feral cats in the woods behind my house. They are no match for the wild turkeys, and the other birds know it. Once, a turkey and other birds were grazing under the small-bird feeder at the back of the yard when one of the cats approached. Instead of flying off, smaller birds positioned themselves so the turkey was between them and the cat. Cat and turkey stared one another down for a time, then the cat left.
