Early returns

In a highly unscientific study, based on my increasingly failing memory, it
seems to me that many of the migratory song birds have/are returned early to
southern Iowa. Hummers- 2 weeks, RWBB (February),Grosbeak, Kingbird, House
Wren, Eastern Phoebe, Towhee, Swallows (tree,barn,roughwinged)- all at least
1 week earlier than I remember.
It's been an unusually warm winter and early spring and drier than most.
Maybe I'm just out more due to the nice weather and seeing them earlier, but
I don't think so.
