Birdwatchers flock to London street to admire American robin

London - Dozens of birdwatchers equipped with binoculars and cameras flocked to
a busy London street Wednesday hoping to catch a glimpse of a robin rarely seen
outside North America.
The object of their attention was an American robin - Turdus migratorius - a
blackbird-size thrush with a reddish-brown underside.
Interesting. I was in London a couple of weeks ago. I had hoped to
see an English robin. No luck. The weather was rotten; that didn't
help.
