Yep, Tammie, all our Pine Grosbeaks disappeared down here, too.
But that was over 15 years ago. :-(

Curious to see if our pair of sharp shinned hawks return to the
neighbourhood.

Pleae let us know if they do. If the nest you found is theirs and they
re-use it, you'll have a lot to watch.

We have the Nocturnal Owl survey ( http://www.bsc-eoc.org/owls.html ) in
April

I think a lot of us would be interested in this, too. What are you
expecting? Saw-Whets? Boreals? Hawk Owls?
