Ah, those lovable rodentia. Mouse nests are common in hobby cars that
northerners don't drive in the winter. They favor air cleaners and
heater boxes. The latter is especially nasty if they happen to expire
inside.

A friend was having trouble with her clothes dryer, which was in the
basement with the typical hose venting outside through the bandboard.
She pulled the hose off the dryer, and a bushel of acorns spilled onto
the floor. The culprit was a chipmunk.

My mom's next door neighbor put food out on his patio for wild critters.
Some of his diners were wood rats, which he thought were cute. They got
into the attic, chewed on the Romex, and started a fire that destroyed
the house and killed the guy and his wife.
