Posting pictures in a non-binary newsgroup is such bad form that many servers -- mine included -- reject such messages. I can see this follow-up to your message, though. news:alt.binary.birds is a reasonable place to post to.
Tony -- very nice pictures, but a lot of folks won't see them.
rec.birds is not a binaries group, so many news servers strip out
attached files.
I'd suggest posting your pics on a web site (if you have one available) and providing a link. Alternatively, post to one of the binaries groups for animal photos -- there are several, I'm not sure which one is the most favored here, others can probably advise you on that point.
