So my question is---why do you keep dropping binoculars?
I use a Cabela's bino-buddy (or whatever cute name it has now,) a kind
of shoulder harness arrangement which keeps my binoculars safe yet
instantly available.
I once dropped a pair of cheap 7X35's down a hillside. I picked them
up thinking they'd be ruined, but aside from some chipped paint and a
couple of dings on the rims, they continue to work fine to this day, 20
years later. After that incident, I started wearing camera straps and
finally went to the harness style bino keeper.
