Dear John,

Ah, some actual names, but only 12, not 20--and 8 of the 12 are
qualified with maybe's and lucky's:

"Of that group, Boonen had the best odds."

"Pozzato, Klier and Hushvod..."

"and maybe Hammond, Van Summeren, Breschel had a reasonable chance."

"Flecha if he got very lucky . . ."

"And then to round it out Hoste, Quinziato, Guesdon (former winner,
but not as good as he used to be) and maybe Arveson are in the 20."

If you've followed Lou's posts, you can pick out where your lists seem
to disagree.

You're making the mistake of believing that Lou and I claim to have
the best information. We don't. I sure don't

And if you realy want me to pick 20, send me the start list.

But it's all hindsight. I suggest you play the honest game and look
at actual picks versus results == they're at Unibet.com.

Or ask me next year. I can pick 30 guys and the winner will be one of
them. I can pick 100 guys and none of them will win.

And I don't even follow the sport that closely.

That's why I'm baffled--Lou made an armchair claim about 20 riders
having a chance to win, while everyone else had no chance at all to
win.

I wonder if Lou was just too angry to control himself?

I'm angry because I can't handle you stupidity. It's remarkable for
some as misinformed as you to claim to baffled when in fact you simply
don't agree and don't want to learn. And after pointing you to a
source of excellent information that confirms Lou's theory you go off
on a diversion about betting.

But you know what, let's continue the stupidity. Bring it on and
claim you're "baffled" when you can look up the info and see
confirmation, or accept explanations that are true.

Keep going dude. Keep talking about how you don't understand and our
explanations are insufficient.

I don't know why water is wet but if you tell me I can't prove it I
won't stop saying water is wet.

So bring it on.

Thanks,

Dear John,

Er, I already sent you the start list. You just don't pay attention.

You're not paying attention to the fact that the existence of only 20
riders who can win doesn't mean I know who those 20 are.

But send me the start list next year and we'll run the exercise. I'll
pick it via Unibet or a similar site

And do it the year after that too. And on and on if you want.

How many years will it take to convince you?
.
