Not only did they have it, but I found that a) the new shifters I bought work magnificently and b) I'm rapidly becoming very comfortable riding my "new" bike quite quickly, despite the fact that it was a pile of parts a couple weeks ago, I have no problem powering down hills in top gear. Even the original brakes feel very confidence inspiring. I know that CR-18s have a reputation for not being as smooth as some higher-priced rims but I can't tell the difference at all. I did touch up the rim seam with some sandpaper before I went for a ride though.

Just felt like sharing the joy...

if it's still not raining after dark I might have to go out again to see how the hub dyno/Lumotec combination works. I didn't buy a more powerful headlight because I'm still holding out for this guy to become available:

yeah, I know, I could have bought the black housing one now, but I like shiny stuff...

Only functional issue still to be rectified is front derailleur and according to UPS my new Campy one should be here tomorrow. Happy happy joy joy.

Bah. joy is short lived. I gathered up all my tools and went out toward the back porch to start installing lighting type stuff. Just as I was opening the back door it started raining rather hard. so I immediately put the bike in the garage (already damp by the time I got it safely inside) until such time as the weather decides to cooperate :(

I'd be interested to know what you think of the CYO+Bells+Whistles before I inevitably shell out for one. I am a bicycle whore, but I know that :(
