Reagan Administration : foreign policy advisor, 1980; Deputy Assistant
Secretary of Defense ; 1981-83; Assistant Secretary of Defense, 1983-89.

Bush I Administration: special negotiator, 1989-1991; special emissary
to King Hussein of Jordan, 1991 then ambassador until 1993. At that
point he left the federal government and entered the private sector.

Private sector: 1993-2000 (pretty much the whole of the Clinton
Administration, who was elected in 1992 and sworn in in January 1993);
he was part of the PNAC during this time, among other things.

Bush II Administration : foreign policy advisor to candidate GWB;
Deputy Secretary of State 2001-2005.

Mr. Armitage leaked the identity of Valerie Plame to Bob Woodward in
June 2003. He identified her to Robert Novak in July 2003, who then
published the information. At that time, her association with the CIA
was classified information. In September 2003 the CIA requested a
Department of Justice investigation; the DoJ requested an FBI
investigation. The grand jury did not issue an indictment connected
with the leak itself.

That 'she was not covert" is a lie that Rush Limbaugh propagated. The truth
is, she WAS under cover and the CIA has admitted that.

Sadly Rush Limbaugh has published little factual information over the
course of his career. Facts have no interest for him, apparently. I've
heard some real howlers from him.

Beyond funny how people can compare Bush Admin to Soviets/Fascists,
while ignoring /glaring/ Socialist/Marxist (and Communist in Van
Jones' case) policies and personnel in the Obama Admin. From
civilian corps (control) to students and Hollywoodians reciting
pledges (control) to *33* czars ranging from Diversity (control) to
Climate Change (control). At least they're showing their true selves
instead of more campaign-like stealthiness; people ARE waking up.
