Today I saw a TV commercial for Chuck E Cheese pizza parlor. The gist
of it was that Chuck E Cheese was fun for kids and parents wouldn't
have to worry about their safety. The ad started off with mothers
wrapping their kids in bubble wrap before sending them off to get on
their bicycles. An interesting twist, actually - sort of ridiculing
parents irrational fear... but maybe not quite - if the fear is
irrational, why go to Chuck E Cheese anyway (the pizza's not that
great).

Did you read the article? It was about adults getting into fights.
"Police officers and company officials say alcohol isn't always a factor in altercations at Chuck E. Cheese's. Mr. Huston says the chain's "broad demographic appeal" means that it has restaurants in what he described as "tougher areas" where there is more potential for crime."
Yes, and the parents of pre-teen children are mostly likely children OF the baby boomers.
Well, not surprisingly, the article gives the adult ages as being between 27 and 45, pretty much what you'd expect for the parents of Chuck-E Cheese age kids.
It's neat to put them all into the kids-of-boomers box, but a 45 year old could actually be boomer, while the 27 year old a boomer's grandchild. That aside, do you really put the responsibility of the behavior of 27-45 year olds on their parents? Wow.
