Now Mr Press, since I have accommodated your request, I ask only
that you duplicate the experiments and report back. So far as I
am concerned, a helmet is a nice thing to break (in lieu of
parts of anatomy).

They cannot be duplicated.
I propose a controlled reproducible experiment.

OK - do it. Enough prattling on. Do it.

I have. You originally asked me how I know something, You
will not take my word for it, so I replied with an experiment

Are you keeping track of this thread?

I didn't ask how you knew something. I asked for your sources of
information.
Don't feel slighted that I clip.

And you didn't simulate anything like a fall from a bike at the
speeds I mentioned. Rubbing is not banging. Ask any woman.

The matter is tangential forces on the neck from head strikes.

And yet you propose sliding lidded and unlidded heads along a wall! LOL

Controlled experiments to determine the relative friction
forces of scalp and helmet scale to high energy impacts.

Completely absurd. Sliding friction -- of which, by the way, an unlidded
head creates much more than a lidded one -- has no bearing on "high energy
impacts". At best, your little simile will simulate the /aftermath/ of a
head-involved bike crash, but even then it will unmistakably contradict your
obviously flawed hypothesis.

Otherwise, good points! LOL
