Indeed, the plastic "plug" type are garbage. If you wear glasses,
the "third eye" kind are OK and clamp to the ear piece. Also worth
a look are the cheap clamp on chrome backed mirrors that usually
sell for $5 or so.


I use and like the "Take a Look" mirror that clips onto glasses
(also mounts to helmet, but I haven't tried that). Very well made,
much less likely to get knocked out of position than the black
plastic Third Eye glasses mount mirror.

I don't like any of them, TBQH, if your hearing is good, and your
neck flexible, a backwards glance is free and effective.

I took a ride recently without the rear-view mirror, and I couldn't
believe how much I missed it.

I second BC's opinion of the "Take A Look Mirror" - it's well made
and reasonably easy to fit to glasses.

As we get older, our hearing gets worse and our necks get less
flexible. I started wearing a "Take a Look" mirror (glasses-mounted)
the day after I rode off the side of the road while looking back to
make sure that the folks I was riding with were doing OK. Now I feel
practically naked without it.
