Garmin has graciously offered to solve this for only $99 (a rebuilt
unit).
Does anyone have the part - or know where to get it?
Hmmm, it sounds like they're as bad as Polar when it comes to parts.
That's about an hour labor plus shipping these days. Remember that it is going through a half dozen hands to get there, get to the right department, repaired and returned.
While it certainly seems like a whole lot of money that's the way things are these days. Wait until the national debt quadruples shortly and you'll see some REAL increases in costs.
