I have MTB with center pull brakes that stay on when i pull them on.
There is a bit of a soft click (catching on something somewhere) and
then i pull it off and it is ok.
I pulled the whole side off that is cauing the problem. I moved the
spring loaded section around to be on its strongest pulling off the
rim setting. It still catches, where could it be? Tried loosening
and tighteninng the brake on the frame with no luck. Nothing to do
with the cables at all. I think there is a problem with the brake
sitting in the whole in the frame perhaps? i dont think that there is
anything else to cause it to catch.
The pads may have worn down to the point that they catch under the rim
now. Try moving the pads up slightly, but be careful that they're not
so high to touch the tire.
