Few books printed in France are available in the U.S., particularly
when they haven't been translated into English:

I wonder if the book hasn't been translated because the publishers
don't think there's a big enough market to make it worth the cost of
translation, or because English-speaking countries (U.S. and Great
Britain) have more effective slander laws than France.
