I ride my bike through fairly poor parts of my city as they're a heck

Gives me a chance to scope out new and tasty hot chicken shacks and bbq
joints as well. Give me pulled pork over Starbucks any day.

When riding through some pretty decrepit projects a few weeks ago,
close to downtown, I gave the silent "yo" nod at some young guys
staring at me. It was a brutal climb on my single speed and did these
kids taunt me? Heck no, they cheered me up the hill with a "go Lance
go". Cycling has gone fairly mainstream in case you haven't noticed.

I was out running once and a 13 year old girl yelled at me "Run,
Forrest, run!" Cheeky little brat. But then they say that mockery is
the sincerest form of flattery, or something like that.

As long as it's not "Run, Florist, run" I wouldn't take it too
seriously. *g*

I've gotten a "yer momma know you wear them shorts?" once. A true
classic!
