Well Ed.... Ya know.... this was for Vandeman by the way... and yes it
struck a chord with me. It wasn't so much anger and hate as it was
discust of the ignorance. True if this was moderated it would have
never made it but I have no regrets about sending it. Vandeman has
proven that ignorance is abundant among the opinionated.
Glad I could be a source of laughter for you.

Well, once you post a message to Usenet, it no more belongs to you than it
does to anyone else. Of course, you can and should continue to monitor the
thread that you started, but it truly does not belong to you. Anyone who
reads what has been written can contribute to it in any way he wants. This
is both a plus and a minus as you have now discovered.
It is possible you belong on a moderated forum where the scoundrels and
idiots can be kept at bay. But there is no escaping controversy on any forum
and you have proven that civility cannot be assured even from those who like
yourself take care of dying animals. By the way, I am pretty sure your
message above would not have been permitted on any moderated forum. But I
have written far worse myself. The trick is to only pretend to be mad and
never to be actually mad. That is the Dolan way and it is lots of fun.
It is really quite funny how you entitled this thread "What's with all this
anger and hate?" and now you have discovered on your own what Usenet is all
about. The irony is just too, too delicious. I haven't had such a good laugh
in ages.
