Was Astana reining in the competition or were the others passive?
Nice write-up:
http://www.steephill.tv/2009/tour-de-france/previews-results/stage-07/
but not much about the goings on in the group of favourites after
Contador jumped away. There's a reason: not much happened. Schleck tried
to follow but faltered, after that everybody stayed together. Klödi took
some pulls, Armstrong didn't.
BTW, now that His name has come up, I heard a rumour that Feillu's Tour
stage win today was the first one for a neo-pro since Armstrong's in
1993 (stage 8 into Verdun). Anybody able to confirm or deny?
I dunno, but it was really cute seeing Feillu's brother Roman grinning
as he rolled across the line the the bus.
