I'd like to cattle prod those fraternity boys onto a prison bus and dump
them off at Attica and see what happens to them in their cute little
Argyle kits. And somebody tell the dude sitting next to Pate - is that
Farrar (?) - to lay off the "hi" setting on the Vidal Sassoon blow
dryer.
Backstedt looks amused by The Hair.
And how come this team talks about its Tour de France like it was
successful? They didn't win a single stage and they lost the GC. Sounds
like they lost to me. You'll never see the losing team in the World Series
say they had a "great" series even though they lost simply because they made
a few good plays.

Cyclists are such pussies when it comes to admitting they lost.

Why do sport teams like banners hanging from their ceilings stating
"Eastern Division Champions" when they did not win the ultimate title?
Why do people get class rings in high school when they know they're
going to go to college?

I disagree with high school sports for doing that. It made everyone feel like
they were a champion when they in fact won nothing. But at the professional
level, there's really no excuse for padding resumes with gay smiley face stickers
from the teacher.

Pro sports is suppose to be cut-throat, not a friendly game where everybody goes
home with a smiley face sticker on their homework assignment.

Let's not pussify pro cycling. Some athletes understand and respect what pro
sports is about.

If Lance had a season like Anorexic Drew Carey's team did, instead of talking
about how great it was, he would be found in hs garage inside a running car with
a pool filter hose going from his muffler directly into his car sideview window
with all the doors locked and windows rolled up.

You haven't been to any pro or college football or basketball stadiums, have you? Multibillion dollar sport industries, all. Even Formula One gives the Manufacturer's Championship.

So Lance shouldn't have been happy with his TdF stage wins in the early 90's and should have considered those races less than successful, right? Maybe you should use Contador as the standard measure of success, not Lance.
