He's wheelsucked, but he's wheelsucked effectively. Part of what that means is that none of the other contenders have been strong enough to defeat the tactic.
You're right, he'll kick ass in the TT.
With a few notable exceptions, Tour winners come from time trialists who can
climb. All the five-or-more time Tour winners excelled in the ITT, even when
they weren't spectacular climbers (e.g. Big Mig).
I think Cuddles will take yellow on Saturday, but I'd really like to see him win
the stage. I guess Paul Sherwen would call that 'stamping his authority on the
race'. ;)
