No, he's only correct if you believe that childhood exposure to allergens
stimulates the body's immune system to prevent allergies as the child grows
and that anthropogenic pollutants like PAH-laden soot particles have the
same effect on the immune system. The case is not clear cut that this
former statement is true, for one thing, but more importantly saying pollen
is a pollutant whose beneficial effects are somehow equivalent to
estrogen-mimicking chemicals is semi-dellusional. Childhood exposure to
anthropogenic pollutants is not a good thing: a parent would have to be
completely deranged thinking their child would grow up healthier living in
beach-front property on the Houston ship channel than living on a huge
ranch in Crawford.
