It is certainly unprecedented on an Earth where climate changeAnyways, AIUI there is quite comprehensive expert concensus thatIndeed. And also whether unprecedented

will so profoundly effect so many people.
absolutely nothing unprecedented about the current warming trend,
and certainly no indication (much less proof) that mankind is
responsible for it.
before in geological history. What matters is how it will effect the
planet we have now, including the large population of humans living
on it. You can argue that habitat loss that causes extinctions is
common over the millenia, but habitat loss for human beings is a
different problem.
That's all well and good, but saying that humans are /responsible/
for it is /irresponsible/ IMO. (Especially when it's only "certain"
humans who are blamed. You know, like /after/ January, 2001.)
There is an overwhelming preponderance of scientific opinion thatHuh? I'm not even an unreal scientist. However, many /genuine/(many "real" scientists say not)."Real" scientists don't make inferences in public.
ones disagree completely with this current global warming fad.
supports the contention that climate change will pose serious
problems for humans over the course of the next century. If the
small minority who disagree are actually correct, we've lost
nothing by ignoring them, because the measures proposed by
activists (alternate fuels, international accords, all that stuff)
are good ideas anyway.
I just saw a small segment of an Al Gore interview (as much as IGore is not an expert, but here in America nobody respects expert
could stand). It was absolutely comical when the interviewer
quoted professors, researchers and other /true experts/ and all
ol' Al could say was "they're wrong". He might as well have
followed with "I'm Al Gore" as his offer of proof.
opinions anyway. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and everyone's
opinion is equal. It's mob rule, refereed by Fox News.
BS. Gore is being feted as if he's the leading expert on global
warming -- and not ONE reporter asks about all his worldwide travel
on private jets; or where his family fortune came from for that
matter. (Hint: think BIG OIL, as well as BIG TOBACCO.)
Me, I spend my days surrounded by some of the world's leading
environmental scientists and experts on biodiversity. I'm not one of
them myself; I'm just the guy who authors their PowerPoint and
records their presentations. There is no significant divergence of
scientific opinion on the issue of climate change, although it
doesn't serve the news media to say so; they thrive on controversy.
But I also know that, just as with evolution, arguing with the
closed-minded is a waste of energy.
Indeed.
complete idiot Sorni is. Before 400 years ago there were no reliable
thermometers and nobody really wrote down the daily weather. 900+
years ago, forget it. To say that humans are not causing the warming
effect just proves that some people will believe what the oil cartel
(Bush Included) tells them.
Fact #1. 6 BILLION + people all breathing out CO2.
Fact #2. Most of them burning something, even a fire to cook on.
Fact #3. More and more they are getting cars that use gasoline.
Fact #4. More are getting electricity generated by burning fossil
fuel. Fact #5. Nobody seems to give a *** that we are burning down
the rain forests to make room for farming.
Fact #6. The US has mentioned that it has enough coal for 100 years
even if we run out of oil. Coal makes CO2 as well.
Fact #7. People are still paranoid about nuclear even though modern
technology and well trained people can make one almost foolproof.
Fact #8. Bush has done almost nothing about pushing solar, wind, or
even tidal energy alternatives.
Fact #9. New housing in California is being put up with absolute
minimum insulation as if the temperature is always going to be
between 60-80. Fact #10. Real estate developers are putting the
absolute lowest efficiency central air conditioners on these new
houses with no regard for the cost to the owner or where the power is
going to come from. Apparent fact #1. Sorni is a totally brainwashed
Republican. Bill (aware of the BS but not a lawmaker) Baka
