I get really extreme with the sunblock: 45 spf. I also sweat like

often to reapply. I aim at every 90 minutes - 2 hours. Maybe less if it
is getting into early evening..

How often do you reapply?

Pretty much never. But then I'm gifted with more melanin than the
average Anglo. I put some on when I did the one day STP, but that's
probably the only time I've bothered in the last five years or so.

Growing up, my friend Ross would step out into the sun and pretty much
burst into flame. 100% English on both sides of the family.

Be careful! While you may not "burn" as easily as some, you're just as
susceptible to skin damage and skin cancer.

I spent most of my spare time as a kid on or around the water, either
sailing or swimming or just hanging out at the beach. We never used
sunscreen. Until the 80s the danger was not widely recognized. So far
I'm safe, but many of our parents' generation, having led the same
lifestyle, are now struggling with melanoma. In fact most of them have
had some form of skin cancer. Unfortunately this is what many of them
will die of.

Nowadays I'm either covered or slathered whenever I'm in the sun.

BTW this is the worst time of year, close to the solstice, when the sun is
strongest. Late spring is misleading because it's still not so hot in
many places. But the sun is as strong in April as it is in August.
