If you are "oil free" as you claim, why does it matter to you if we're
using to much oil, driving big SUV's, heating big houses, etc, etc, it
should not affect you at all.
What you say makes no sense. The choices by the greedy among us impact us
all.

Why, if I didn't use any oil products would I worry what the price is and
what kind of vehicle you drive? It's not a matter of greed, but of
personal choice, if a person has reason or even desire to drive a SUV, they
should have that right. I certainly would not want some bureaucrat that
doesn't even know a thing about my lifestyle to make that decision for me.

Owner of a
VW Beetle diesel 40mpg
Honda SUV 27mpg
Ford Ranger Truck 22mpg

Those are not mutually exclusive positions.
First, we all are impacted by oil prices. Unless you live in rural
Borneo your life depends on technology and that is dependent on fuel.
So, things that effect fuel costs effect us all.
But, it is also true that there are issues of personal choice that do
not fall into the "totally irresponsible bin." Lots of folks use
vehicles and depending on what they need/choose to do for work and play
their needs may differ and thus the fuel efficiency of their vehicles.
There are many efficiencies besides fuel--safety and time are also real
variables with real economic costs.
