Yeah it is a nice looking commuter.
It's an appliance in the Dutch tradition--check out that magnificent chain case. :D
Nothing wrong with an enclosed chain, keeps the pant leg clean. :)
Bars have a natural curve to them vs those horrible flat bars, and drivetrain can probably go six months between servicings.
The curve of those bars DO have a more natural looking position to them.
I don't know about the Nexus hubs, but I do remember having a 3 speed as a kid, if I remeber right it just took a couple of drops of oil every once and a while.Inevitably somebody's going to go on about efficiency and Nexus hubs--but a bike that's always ready to ride, rain, snow, or sun is my idea of a daily driver--I couldn't give a rat's about a derailleur bike's slight efficiency advantage--those things get too cruddy and don't belong on a commuter.
