came upon a herd of cows being led down the road by a farmer
This just happened to me last weekend while riding the Heber Valley Century. My wife and I came to this heard and the cattle freaked. They all started turning around. All I could think about was my bright solid red jersey and the "matadors". I half expected one of them to charge me. We stood still for a few moments (with my bike between me and the cattle - like that was going to do any good) until the cowboys got them moving in the right direction again and motioned us to keep coming. The cattle plastered themselves against the fence on the opposite side of the road from us as we passed.
I didn't have a camera with me either, but when I got home I decided to order a neat little top tube to stem bag that I think will hold my old small one fairly well.
Isn't the red color thing a myth? I thought most mammals were color blind.
