Whats on your mind?
We need more biplanes. and an affordable radial in the 165
HPrange.

and a BiPlane light enough to carry two people and fly with that
165HP.
Oh there's been hundreds of them. The Stearman 75 was notf
representitive o
the bipes of the thirties at all.y
The early Waco 9s and 10s had the 90 Hp OX-5 and the first of the
Fs mostl
had around 100-110 hp. Travel Airs, Alexanders, American Eagle
Krieder- Reisner, Curtiss, Meyers, Bird and a host of others all
managed on that much or less. In Europe, Tiger Moths, Buckers
Heinkels and all sorts did likewise.
Bipes are not neccesarily heavier than monoplanes, BTW. Often,
like for like, they are lighter. For instance, the Franklin Sport
as opposed to a Monocouple 90. Both with the same engine and both
have nearly the same empty weight. Actully, IIRC the 'Coupe was
probably a bit heavier. Monocoupe was quicker of course!

Yeah but I mean like modern ones made up of composites, or even a
light uncomplicated turbo fan. I've seen a tiger moth upclose and a
Boeing Stearman fly. My favorite biplane is the Sopwith Camel. Yeah
its slower than a lot of them out there but she is a beauty. My
dream is to own one.
Well, you better get building then!

yeah, i'd love to build a sop, i helped a friend put together his
ultralight. but it came with a detailed manual.
Well, if you are serious, there is a guy who does ultralight versions of
several world war one aircraft. He doesn't do a Camel, but he does do a
Tabloid, I think He also does several Fokkers, but the most popular are
the Nieuports. They use a variety of engines and are proven designs.

Get building.
